MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently gain from a 20p however that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of little businesses in Cornwall currently earn money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this kind of industry going it does require just a bit of lift which is available in the kind of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a blend of standard diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
